CityMorph

Concept design, illustrations and Flash ActionScript 3.0 coding for this interactive project depicting a selection of 5 prominent buildings key to the London skyline. The digital representation of the London skyline is controlled through physical interaction by the user. The users 'build' a structure using the wooden blocks provided on the sensor equiped platform which is connected to the computer, which in turn is translated into a digital representation shown on the screen. The textual content used to create the silhouette like forms is specifically related to the ‘life’ of each building, portraying factual information, including names, location, key dates, dimensions, designer/architect etc. All the buildings are to scale. The project was developed using Adobe Illustrator, Flash, Actionscript 3.0 and Phidgets (pressure sensors).
